Description | The world is moving to IPv6, and so is email. However, email specialists are not thrilled about the move because of the potential for abuse. If it’s hard enough to stop spam in IPv4 with its limited set of IP addresses, how do we hope to stop it in IPv6 with its virtually unlimited set of IP addresses? Fortunately, we have a plan. IPv6 will require sender authentication whereas it is optional in IPv4. It is only through sender authentication that we have any hope of containing the spam problem over IPv6. |
